Shaochen (Henry) Zhong

I am a fourth-year PhD student at Rice University. I care quite a bit about building capable and robust systems, and delivering them to their intended users in a practical and reliable manner.

My main line of research typically spans efficiency and security. Under both fronts — and with occasional crossover — I aim to address a realistic user scenario / threat model, with a simple yet effective recipe, provide comprehensive evidence, and be transparent about each work’s limitations. Sometimes, I like to think I’ve managed to do so.
